Priscilla Franco is a self-taught oil abstract artist. Born in Palm Beach and raised in Guatemala City, she has been exposed to a variety of cultures and art forms from a very young age. Her passion and exploration of different art mediums started while in high school.

Moving to Boston for her studies, she devoted her self to painting in her leisure time. She received her BSBA in Business Administration from Suffolk University; wanting to follow her passion she continued her studies and received a Graphic Design Certificate from NESAD.

Since then, her collection has been expanding and her art is displayed at the homes of private collectors around the world.


Artist Statement

Painting is a true passion for me, it is an inner state of mind and a way to free myself from everyday events. It is a means to express the creative energy burning within me.

I intuitively and spontaneously choose colors and tools first and then begin painting. I let myself emerge into the realm of my imagination and allow whatever is intended to be expressed through the exploration of different motions, shapes, emotive colors and composition. I rarely have knowledge of what the outcome will be and this gives me the power to improvise and evolve in a mental dialogue between myself and the canvas.

As a non-representational abstract artist, my intentions are to expand and stir the minds of the viewers and to bring them to experience their
own imaginative unconscious world and interpret what is revealed in the canvas from their own perspective. The titles of the pieces have no intentional or subliminal messages attached to them. I want my paintings
solely to convey something new and deeper to the viewers' eye.

Knowing that there are infinite ideas and endless possibilities when it comes to painting gives me the inspiration to keep exploring, experimenting and transforming that energy into art.
